Visit Our New, Full Day Kindergarten Center Thanks to the generosity of The Louis S. and Molly B. Wolk Foundation, our Kindergarten class has an updated, expanded and newly renovated classroom where they can begin their learning experience at Hillel. Plans for our modernized Kindergarten Center were made a reality, thanks to the generosity of The Louis S. and Molly B. Wolk Foundation.  The new Kindergarten Center is over 1,000 S.F., making it one of the largest centers in the area.  It features state-of-the-art instructional centers, with new furniture and materials for Math, Writing, Science and other subjects.  However, the most striking feature of the Kindergarten Program it that it is fully integrated, with the General & Judaic Studies teachers working together throughout the day to integrate learning. At Hillel Community Day School, academic excellence, individual achievement and the warmth of a community converge to create a dynamic learning experience for your child.

Hillel is an egalitarian, private and pluralistic Jewish day school, offering a full day program, 8:00am-3:15pm, for all students from Kindergarten through Eighth grade. Afterschool care is also offered Monday-Thursday until 6:00pm and Friday as late as candlelighting times permit. Throughout the day, General Studies, Judaic Studies and Enrichment Classes are integrated. Students thrive with our dual curriculum and we provide a comfortable, exciting and stimulating learning atmosphere.

Our nine acre campus nine acre campus nine acre campus is located in the suburb of Brighton, just outside Rochester, NY. Brighton offers kosher food options, family activities and a spectrum of synagogues to choose from, ranging from Orthodox to Conservative and Reform. Brighton is recognized as one of America’s most striking residential towns and is home to notable leaders in business, industry, education, government and the arts.

Hillel's campus features a newly renovated 1,000+ SF Wolk Kindergarten Wing, a spacious gymnasium/auditorium , a state-of-the-art computer lab , a stimulating art studio and a modern science lab. The library contains a SMART Board , as well as Judaic and general interest volumes.

We strive to provide all students with the best possible education. Our favorable 6:1 average student-to-teacher ratio enables teachers to know all their students and provide differentiated instruction for each child. An Instructional Leadership Team tailors enrichment and remediation programs to meet the needs of each child.
