Welcome to Hillel Community Day School!
We are excited to share that Hillel is now a candidate school for the IB Primary Years Programme (IBPYP), focusing on inquiry-based learning beginning at pre-K. At Hillel Community Day School, we envision a future where every student embraces their individual and collective Jewish identity, achieves academic excellence, and becomes a compassionate Jewish global citizen.
As the oldest Zionist Day School in Upstate New York, with a rich history of 76 years of Jewish education, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing, diverse, and inclusive environment that fosters a love for learning, a deep connection to Jewish culture, ethics, and a sense of responsibility to the world.
At Hillel, our philosophy focuses on holistic, integrated education where we combine Jewish values with rigorous academics to develop critical thinking skills, cultural awareness, and a strong sense of social responsibility in our students. We also take a holistic approach to safety and wellness at school, addressing cognitive, physical, emotional, and behavioral aspects to ensure a supportive environment for all.
At Hillel, our primary intention is to provide a transformative educational experience rooted in Jewish values, academic excellence, and community engagement with a commitment to nurturing the whole child. We aim to empower our students to become compassionate Jewish global citizens who will make a positive impact on the world.
