Keith Newman

Keith has been hired by the HCDS Board and he is excited for the opportunity to join such a wonderful and valuable organization. He looks forward to working with the entire team to continue the progress that the school has made this year and believes the future is extremely bright. Keith has been involved with Hillel School for the past 20 years. He and his wife Sonia are the proud parents of two Hillel graduates, Hannah (class of 2010) and Jasper (class of 2014). Both of their children are flourishing in their respective professions as well as the NYC Jewish community and they serve as positive examples of the excellent Jewish & secular education that Hillel School provides its students. As a school parent, Keith served on the Board of Trustees and dedicated 16 years to their major fundraising activities.

Keith has been a resident of Rochester for 28 years. He graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a degree in Business Economics and brings 30 years of Operational Management experience to the position. His community involvement includes serving as past Treasurer for Ora Academy, long time Board member for Congregation Beth Sholom, Officer for the Jewish Studies Foundation, and past President of Congregation Beth Sholom.
